What lawn maintenance covers

Around the weekly rhythm sits a seasonal calendar tuned to the Georgia year. Pre-emergent goes down in late winter to head off crabgrass before it starts. Warm-season lawns get fed as they green up and through summer, while fescue is fed and overseeded in fall, which is the season it actually recovers and thickens. Core aeration opens the compacted clay so water, air, and roots can move. None of these steps is optional busywork; they are the difference between a lawn that limps through August and one that holds its color.
Atlanta’s humid summers bring their own pressures. Fescue is prone to brown patch when nights stay warm and wet, so we water in the early morning rather than the evening and watch for the first thinning circles. Broadleaf weeds get spot-treated as they appear instead of after they have seeded across the lawn. We return clippings when they are fine enough to break down and feed the soil, and bag them when a growth spurt outpaces that. 03 · Seasonal treatments. We apply pre-emergent and fertilizer on the calendar, aerate the compacted spots, and overseed fescue in fall so the lawn goes into winter dense.

Where we work
We maintain lawns west and north of the city, from Marietta and East Cobb over toward Smyrna and Vinings, adjusting mow heights and treatment timing to each yard’s grass and exposure. A full-sun Bermuda lawn and a shaded fescue one on the same street are on different schedules, and the calendar reflects that rather than treating every property the same.
