What irrigation installation and repairs cover
An irrigation system is only worth installing if it puts water where the roots are and nowhere else. We design and install systems zoned by what each area actually needs, so turf, foundation shrubs, and perennial beds are watered separately rather than all on the same timer. Beds get drip lines that deliver water slowly at soil level, lawns get spray heads or rotors matched to the shape and size of the area, and every zone is set so its heads throw an even, overlapping pattern instead of leaving dry arcs and soaked corners.
The controller is the brain of the system, and we favor weather-based smart controllers that adjust run times to rainfall and temperature instead of watering on a fixed clock through a summer storm. A rain sensor shuts the system down when the ground is already wet, and a backflow preventer keeps irrigation water from ever flowing back toward the drinking supply, which is both good practice and a code requirement. On the repair side we handle broken and sunken heads, cracked lines, leaking or stuck valves, clogged nozzles, wiring faults, and the slow coverage problems that show up as brown patches long after the pipe was buried.
Our process for this service
01 · Pressure and coverage assessment. We check available water pressure and flow, map the property, and group plantings into zones by water need. Getting the hydrozones right is what makes a system efficient rather than wasteful.
02 · Design and install. We lay out heads for even overlap, trench and set lines, place valves and the backflow device, and wire the controller. Drip goes to beds, spray or rotor to turf, each on its own zone.
03 · Tune and program. We adjust every head, set run times by zone, and program the controller so each area gets what it needs and no more. A system that is installed but not tuned wastes water and misses coverage.
04 · Service and seasonal checks. We return to adjust for the season, find leaks, and keep heads aimed as beds fill in and plants mature around them.
What’s included
An installation includes the zone design, heads, valves, drip lines, a backflow preventer, the controller, and the programming that ties it together. A repair visit includes diagnosing the fault, replacing the failed part, and re-tuning the affected zone so coverage is actually restored rather than patched. Where an older system was poorly zoned to begin with, we can re-zone it so water stops landing on the driveway and starts reaching the beds.
Because the same team designs, installs, and maintains the landscape, the irrigation is planned around the plants rather than bolted on afterward. We know which beds hold clay and stay wet, which sunny turf dries out first, and where a new tree will need deeper, less frequent water as it establishes. Watering the yard correctly is far easier when the crew running the pipe is the same one that chose and placed the plants.
